Bringing home a puppy should feel exciting, not confusing. At Okefeild Acres, we guide you through every step with purpose and care - from choosing the right size, generation, and coat to welcoming home a puppy that fits your lifestyle.
Matched By Temperament
Not Just Looks
We use formal temperament testing and daily observation to match each puppy with the right home. Whether you’re looking for a confident companion, a cuddly family dog, or a therapy prospect, we’ll guide you to the best fit - not just the cutest face.
Every puppy is raised with our early training to build trust, manners, and resilience before they ever leave our care.
Puppies Under Six Weeks
For those on a reserve list, puppy selections are made at 6-7 weeks of age, once updated photos and temperament results have been added to the website to help guide your decision. At this age, each puppy’s personality begins to emerge, allowing for the best possible match.
Visits in person or through Facetime calls will be scheduled for families already on our reserve list, and we’re happy to assist in choosing the right fit based on your lifestyle and preferences.
Puppies Over Six Weeks
Interested in a puppy six weeks or older? Our Puppy Match Session™ offers a personalized 30-minute video consultation where you can meet puppies six weeks and older, ask questions, and receive expert guidance tailored to your lifestyle. It’s the first step to a thoughtful, confident decision before making a full commitment.
Prepare For Homecoming
Once you’ve been matched to your perfect puppy and adoption has been finalized, we’ll help you prepare for a smooth transition.
You’ll receive:
• A copy of your puppy’s current health chart, with dates
of upcoming vaccinations that will be needed.
• An invitation from Life’s Abundance to order your puppy’s
food at wholesale pricing.
• Our custom Puppy Care e-Booklet - created to walk you through each step of preparing for your puppy’s arrival. It’s filled with trusted tips from over 20 years of experience, including feeding, housebreaking, crating, health care and grooming tips - information meant to make your preparation a confident and enjoyable process from day one.
• A Puppy Starter Kit will be provided at pick up or delivery and includes a starter bag of food, treats, health records, fanny pack, potty bell, toy with the scent of our place, a Burberry dupe leash and collar set and potty bags. Our way of saying thank you and to give you a head start on a successful beginning together.
Receiving Your Puppy
Whether you’re picking up in person or need delivery, we make it easy and stress-free. Families are welcome to visit us to pick up at our place in Missouri, or we can personally deliver your puppy by ground or fly them in-cabin to your nearest airport. Wherever you live, your puppy will arrive safe, loved, and ready to bond.
