Adoption Process
Welcoming a new puppy to your home is a big decision, thank you for choosing Okefeild Acres to adopt your new English Teddybear Goldendoodle from!
Once puppies are born, weekly updates will be posted on the website so that you can read about what puppies are learning and see their growth pictures or videos.
The day before puppy choice, we will be adding individual pictures and temperament test results to the website.

Your Puppy Starter Kit
It’s time to prepare for welcoming one of our puppies into your home, we are so excited for you! Here are the practical supplies that will be included in your puppy starter kit, our way of saying thank you and to help your puppy adjust to your new home as quickly as possible!
Order Grooming Supplies
Make grooming more enjoyable for you and your puppy by ordering products that we have proven to be helpful in maintaining our Goldendoodles. Click the link below to order the products that we personally love and use on our dogs!
Order Crates
We make housebreaking your new puppy easier by conditioning them to love their crate at an early age. Duration of time is slowly built up so that by the time puppy goes home with you they are well on their way to finalizing housebreaking. Of course there will be some crying when they go to their new home, because everything is new, but they settle quickly and are typically sleeping through the night by the end of the first week with their new family.
If you flying in to pick up your puppy or are having your puppy delivered by air, in-cabin, he/she will be trained to the airline crate ten days leading up to the flight. The largest allowable airline approved soft sided travel crate is listed at the link below.
The following link will also take you to our recommended plastic car travel crate and to wire crates with movable dividers, in different sizes. Dimensions and size recommendations are listed.
Order Food
We have tried many different types of food over our many years of breeding. Time has proven to us that Life’s Abundance food provides the needs of our growing puppies without the battle of diarrhea, skin issues and fast joint growth caused by many high protein puppy foods.
After puppy choice has been made, an e-mail will be forwarded to you from Life’s Abundance for discounted wholesale pricing. You will open the e-mail then click the link to set up your account. You will have the option to order as often as needed.
Your puppy is being fed the green bag All Life Stages food, not the puppy formula. Start off by ordering small bags so that food is eaten in a timely manner and doesn’t grow stale.
Order Vitamins
Your puppy will have been started on NuVet vitamins to promote a healthy immune system and to maintain beautiful skin and coat. We use the powdered form to mix into the food but the older puppies enjoy the tablet form as a treat because they contain liver and taste great!

Order Flea/Tick Prevention
All natural Wondercide pet spray and yard spray is a safe and effective way to protect your new puppy against fleas and ticks. Click the link below to order.
From early spring to the first hard freeze we personally apply Cedarwood yard spray throughout yard and kennel areas every week and apply the Cedarwood pet spray every other day.
As a reminder, traditional flea/tick meds, collars and shampoos cause seizures, neurological damage and skin issues. We personally apply Wonderside yard spray on a weekly basis and pet spray on grooming day or when they leave our property with great protection!
